Law of Attraction Lesson 1

Lesson 1

“The Secret gives you everything you want, happiness, health and wealth. You can have do or be anything”.

OK, today lets start you journey towards a better, more fulfilling life. Whether you like it or not, everything you are experiencing at the moment, everything that’s coming into your life is a result of your thoughts. Your thoughts and the images held in your mind are what are responsible for what happens to you. If you think about it, it is your thoughts and subsequent deeds that have shaped your life so far. Your life is a physical manifestation of the thoughts that you have had. It is an important part of living to the Law of Attraction that you accept the fact that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your life so far!  The good news is, however, that you can now be responsible for a fantastic life. You can truly create a new starting point in your life; forget everything that’s gone before.

Now let’s get started on how we attract things to us. I need you to think of yourself as a magnet attracting things toward you. What you attract, however, are the things you think about most. Your predominant thoughts. “Thoughts become things”.

Now the trouble with this is that people tend to think about what they don’t want. The most common example of this is debt! People always think about the debt they are in and wish they could get out of debt. The trouble is that thinking about debt brings about more debt. The best way to deal with debt is to make a plan to pay back what you owe and set up a direct debit or standing order to make payments automatically then forget about it. Then it is time to start thinking about the life you want to lead. As long as you are thinking about the debt, the more you will attract debt into your life.

The Law of Attraction doesn’t care if your thoughts are good or bad, it is always working and when we are awake we are always thinking. Experts estimate that we have 60,000 thoughts per day. You are the master of your own destiny. Positive thoughts attract positive things and likewise negative thoughts attract negative things. As Winston Churchill once said “You create your own destiny as you go along”.

As you can imagine, our mind is mostly thinking of the day to day events in our everyday lives. We are therefore thinking about the mundane daily tasks we must attend to each day. Wishing for something better will not work on its own, as you progress through the course you will find out how to attract and manifest what you desire. In fact, we are so conditioned by our daily lives that we do not believe we have any control over it at all. Thinking of something other than what we see is hard work which is why we are stuck in a reality trap, so to speak, attracting all the bad things by default.

There is a shortcut to help us have the right thoughts so it is not as hard as you might think. To help us keep on track with our thoughts we use our feelings. Yes its as simple as that. If we are feeling bad about things we need to change to thinking about things that make us feel good. Bad thoughts equals manifesting more bad things, good thoughts bring more good things.

We need to change the way we think. Let me give you a quick example of how changing the way we think can help you; I wanted to watch a DVD for research before writing this lesson. I put the DVD in the machine and it wouldn’t read the disc, I tried to open the machine to get the disc out to see if I could clean it and the machine refused to open. All this time I was getting more and more irate. I wanted to reach around the TV unit to unplug it, but I couldn’t reach the plug. The more I tried the more the sharp wooden corner of the unit stuck into me. There were four plugs behind the unit and I couldn’t tell which one was which, I tried each one in turn and it was the last one I tried which was the one I needed. In the end I had to watch the DVD somewhere else. What I do now and what I should have done then was to stop when the first thing goes wrong. The trick is then to change your focus, leave it for a minute and think about something else. Think of a memory, think of your pet or your children, something that makes you feel good. This shift in focus can literally change the way the rest of your day goes.

I want you over the course of this next week to think of some things or memories and write them down. These will be a set of things you can have ready when you need to shift your focus and perhaps change your whole day.

See you in lesson two.
